The things that are a prison mantra

One, eat your last breakfast.
Two, Never look back.
Three leave your name and date hidden in your pad.

You may have family to meet you, you may be on your own, but whatever you feel as you walk out of the gates, you will know that a part of you stays behind. The true feeling of elation felt is tempered with the sadness of knowing a large number of your temporary friends will continue to be locked up for far longer than is necessary, just for political expediency. (Discussed later)

I am not for an instant suggesting that imprisonment does not serve as a deterrent, just that it wastes life and causes massive economical and personal hardship on a far wider scale than is understood, or required.

I have always felt that the start of crime is due to upbringing.
Go back to the cane, the school discipline is now dead. If you are disruptive in school, they send you home! This is exactly what the child wants! Instead, as in my day, keep the child in for detention.

As you can see, I look at the spitting, swearing, loudmouth and disgusting children, who must be "protected" and wonder who let the parents breed! The problem is taking the "parents" goodies away, means little Johnny learns even more that violence is correct adult behaviour!

So having got that off my chest, all I can say is enjoy your freedom, but learn from the experience. Even negative input can be beneficial, if you learn to avoid situations or areas (you should be aware of now), that can put you in danger of re-offending or as in my case, being convicted by others lies, you will have gained by it.

You can do all the things you ever dreamed of. You can build whatever, see whatever and be whatever you dam-well like. Just remember to look over your shoulder and prevent this hiccup in your life from ever happening again.

Hold some things I found out.

Never expect respect, it grows from understanding that all people have strengths and weakness.
Every minute of every day is yours to choose to do with as you wish, never waste any.
Never promise anything you cannot deliver.
Keep your own personal space and time.
Respect others concerns and problems.
Help others and it does come back.

Go and enjoy life. NEVER LOOK BACK.
