Police and System Injustice UK

Which police force you have the misfortune to be under when dealing with the system, relates to a greater extent on funding and political issues and far less on law and order.

The Government would like the outside world to continue to believe our system is fair. No one in our country believes that anymore. Unless they are paid by the state of course!

The police have always had the powers they need to do what they require to keep order, they now have even more. They can listen to telephone calls, track you on your mobile to within three metres and take down your front door at the vague possibility of you having drugs. CCTV helps them, but this is not talked about as they push for greater numbers.

The police complaints system is farcical to the point that Britain stands accused by the United Nations Committee for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination, which reported last year its concern about incidents of death in police custody, which disproportionately involves members of ethnic minority groups. It noted the persistence of the problem, and extreme lack of criminal and disciplinary action against police and prison officers. It recommends that the Government provide information and ensure fully independent investigation into complaints against the police.

The system has all the right documentation in place to make it appear to the controlling ministers that it is working, however I can assure the ministers the documents do not stand close inspection.

There is no political mileage to be gained form digging around in the cloisters of the system, for no matter which party is in power, the system will always be the same! The foolish minister it is who attempts to pull up the dead weeds. Far better to scatter manure, which is a prerequisite for the job anyway!

The Police Complaints Authority is only as good as the investigation teams, given these people come from the same background and therefore clubhouse, is it any wonder very few complaints are upheld. The families in most cases have to fight for legal aid to open any case against the police. Police officers have teams of legal staff paid for by the police unions and councils at all levels. What hope of justice do they have?
