Police Arrest

It is highly possible that your very first time inside a police station will include the famous phrase, " you are under arrest,….". Make no mistake about it anything you do or say after this will be used against you.

There is only so much that the police can find out on their own, it is vital to you to only tell them the very least you can, within your mind. Now you understand and appreciate the seriousness of your predicament you will feel like explaining everything you have done throughout your life to anyone who will listen! Stop, think about what the officer has to go on. A complete picture is forming in his little mind and none of it is good news for you.

Keep your silence until you see your solicitor. Answer nothing except your name and address, until you have spoken to your solicitor, you only need talk in an interview with your solicitor present. DO NOT talk to the officer, he is not your friend!!

If you have done nothing wrong then explain what you were doing on the night in question or whatever, be firm and if you cannot remember any detail say so, do not make it up, or you will fall on it and cut yourself, later!

If you have no "previous" as they say then you could, be given police bail. (See the bail section)

The arrest is to make everything legal and the police must have reasonable grounds to make it. Never give in to bully boy tactics.

I was ok up until the second court case, the first jury could not decide my fate! As the day of the re-trial approached my anger level got so bad that my shrink (black arts man) suggested I stay in his hospital, that is where the eight! Police officers landed to arrest me, they were armed and kited out like anti-terrorist thugs. Yet still babies behind the entire huff and puff of loud shouting and swearing!

I would have quite happily gone to court if the court had sent a constable in a car! Still, they had great difficulty getting the cuffs on because I have very large wrists! It was so funny because I could have done a lot of damage, the possibility I would use my training to return the aggression, was uppermost in their minds, what with the riot shields, Cs spray and armed lads waiting as back-up, but so totally over the top! It invites people who can sort them out to do so. Is this so they can retire early on so called medical grounds?

I will not go into detail, but just explain the spare lad with the spray will never get as close to his customer again! Waving that 6inches from my nose was asking for it to be taken off him! I was laughing then and I still see the look on his face now!

They treated me to a night in their freezing cold cell with one blanket to keep warm, after making sure I had nothing hidden anywhere on me! As if I would have had time to just slip something up my rear-end anyway, I felt quite pissed off about it, but then again the poor wee lads need to get their jollies somehow, maybe the rumours are true! What woman in her right mine would take second place, to a mirror! Or do all police officers think hair-gel and body-spray cover over their extreme egotistical vanity.

The following day after the first day in court I was home on bail! How are our taxes allowed to be wasted like that, I would love to find out how much the little run-around cost! All for the sake of asking me if I felt well enough to attend, court. Even my shrink was unsure, he had gone to court to tell the judge this, so the judge asked for me to be brought to him! If they thought I was violent why was I free to come and go in the hospital?

I have detailed the above in the hope it is noted. Also I was extremely angry, at the abuse of power. If I had been less controlled and put down one or two of them, what would I have been accused of. To say nothing of the permanent damage I would have caused.

If these lads had been doing foot patrols around housing estates and shopping centres, they could have maybe prevented some old dear from being traumatised for the rest of her life!

Instead they were dressed up, kited out and playing tin-pot soldiers and adding to the costs of the taxpayer.

Please note, unless you know what you are doing ,do not resist arrest, if police abuse their power they very rarely get a complaint upheld against them! Surprise, surprise, I think the complaints procedure is a joke, it is all one force when it comes to investigations, no one makes waves for fear they rebound back!

So, take the opportunity to make your future secure if you get bail, prepare for the worst, keep all your options open and make sure your family are looked after. If the tide goes against you, at least you will not be concerned with holding your families head above the water, as well as your own!
